In our fun and original penguin song, kids can practice connecting their aural and physical listening skills by following Rachel up and down! Plié-ing strengthens and stretches different muscle groups in our legs and balancing on tip-toe tests both our balance and our sense of proprioception!
In Ostrich, kids can learn Humble Warrior Pose, a yoga pose that grounds us, builds strength in our legs and core, lengthens our intercostal muscles, and ultimately releases our spine. This is a great way to build focus and calm with a very physically active pose!
In Elephant, kids learn how to make an imaginary elephant with Lauren! We practice Wide-Legged Forward Fold to make our elephants, building strength and stability through our legs, core, and back muscles!
Practice being a sleepy Lion with Rachel! We start in Child's Pose, a grounding, calming pose which promotes focus and regulates our nervous system. Then we move to Upward Facing Dog and we RAWR! Upward Facing Dog strengthens our arms and we get a great stretch for our front body as well!
